It never fails to feel bad after being criticize, but should it? It shouldn't. Well I guess it depends on how constructive the criticism is, isn't it? We are getting a lot of that lately.... especially on the way we present in our morning sessions. But whose fault is it anyway? Did they teach us how to present? No...(cynical criticism doesn't count as teaching). Are they themselves good at it? Presentation and giving lectures? I don't think so... at least not all of them. So why blame us?
We should organize a session inviting professional public speakers to coach us on how to present scientific lectures professionally. What do you think? If you all think this is worthwhile, I will take the initiative to do this.
